The Coconut soap smells SO REAL you just want to bite right into it! The Tropical Pineapple scent smells like a REAL Maui Pineapple - not like what you’d buy in Redding. If you’ve ever been to Hawaii you know what I’m saying: Mainland pineapple is NOT NEARLY as juicy and rich as pineapples found in the Islands! FACT: When pineapples are harvested in Maui they are placed in a huge vat of water. The pineapples that float to the top are “green” enough to ship to the mainland; They will survive a 2 - 3 week boat trip. The pineapples that sink to the bottom of the vat are too ripe and juicy to last 2 - 3 weeks. They are sold ONLY in Hawaii. This explains why “umbrella drinks” in Hawaii taste so much better! WE’D LIKE TO WELCOME SOME NEW BUSINESSES to the new “Market Street Promenade”: QT Patootie Gifts - a charming store featuring new cribs, bedding, and strollers, plus new and gently used clothing for babies and toddlers, opened right across the breezeway from our store. Their address is 1418 Yuba Street, and their phone number is 243-CRIB (pretty catchy phone number!). We hear Grilla Bites is close to opening at the north end of the Promenade. They bring a healthy approach to eating downtown. Headlines Day Spa has moved from the north end of the Promenade to across the breezeway from California Decor Store. Vicki Pelletier and her team have been doing hair design, spa manicures and pedicures, massage and tanning for many years. Come by their new location at 1416 Yuba Street and register for a magnificent Spa Pampering Package they are giving away on October 31st. 243-5324. If you haven’t been to the new “Promenade,” Julie Wynn of Bella Vista you are missing out! |
